Get in the game!
Bowl For Kids’ Sake (BFKS) is one of the largest annual fundraising events for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston. BFKS bowlers and sponsors are people just like you who want to give back to children right here at home. It doesn’t matter if you’re a bowling pro or have never bowled before. All of the expenses of the event are completely underwritten by our corporate partners. Therefore, 100% of the money raised directly supports the at-risk children in our community served through one-on-one mentoring relationships.

That's the date of our day-long bowling event at Palace Lanes, 4191 Bellaire, Houston. You'll bowl in one of several 2-hour blocks with bowlers from across the area! It will be a great way to have fun, meet new people, AND support the one-to-one mentoring programs of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston!
Companies can also become BFKS sponsors, and schedule their own private bowling event. It's a great way to build teamwork and morale! Contact Rosalind Moore at (713) 860-8209 or rosalind.moore@bbbs.org for more information.
Ways to Participate
- Become a Team Captain and/or bowler.
- Volunteer at the event.
- Donate door prizes.
- Spread the word and generate interest in Bowl For Kids’ Sake throughout your company, church, family, friends or neighborhood!
- Support Big Brothers Big Sisters by making a donation to Bowl For Kids’ Sake.
Being a Team Captain is as easy as one-two-three!!!
- Go to bfks2008.kintera.org/houston to register your team.
- Form a team of five people by asking friends, co-workers or family members to join you in Bowl For Kids’ Sake. You don't need to be a good bowler to participate – everyone wins when helping kids! You, as the designated "team captain," registers your team for the date/time agreed upon by your company.
- Each bowler is asked to obtain at least $110 in sponsorships. Sponsors can visit our website at bfks2008.kintera.org/houston to provide their support for the bowler online or bowlers can collect the donations and bring them in their sponsor envelope to the event. Each team member then brings their sponsor envelope to the bowling center on the date and time chosen.
- Bowlers enjoy two free games of bowling with shoes/ball provided, food and drinks, event T-shirts, prizes, souvenir team photos, games and lots of FUN!!
