Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston

Thanks to our 2007 Bowl for Kids' Sake Bowlers!

Bowlers from across the Houston area helped us raise $193,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Houston in 2007. That means almost 200 children can be matched with caring mentors - a life-changing relationship proven to help children stay away from drugs and alcohol and stay in school.

Congratulations to our biggest individual fundraiser Keith Jacobson! Keith raised $4,001 for his bowling event with employer JP Morgan Chase. His team raised over $6,500, which helped bring the grand total for the JP Morgan Chase bowling event to just over $20,000! He's pictured below with Rosalind Moore, our Bowl for Kids' Sake coordinator.

Keith says participating in Bowl for Kids' Sake through JP Morgan Chase was a great way to connect with his co-workers. "We don't have many opportunities in today's fast paced environment to get together with colleagues and have fun like this," he says. "And, since nobody is that good at bowling, we can all have a good laugh at ourselves and not be too serious."

He also plans to be on the team this year!
